Description
Impress all of your chocolate loving friends with this recipe for Simple Chocolate Cookies. Though they may seem simple, these cookies have a rich chocolate flavor owing to the addition of both cocoa powder and melted dark chocolate to the cookie dough. Refrigerate the dough in cylinders, for at least two hours, and then you will be ready to slice and bake your way to a decadent chocolate cookie in no time. If you really love chocolate, you could even add chocolate chips into the dough.
Ingredients
- 240 grams pastry flour
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- salt
- 180 grams butter (at room temperature)
- 210 grams vanilla sugar (made by storing vanilla bean husks in a container of sugar)
- 2 egg yolks
- 50 grams dark chocolate (melted and cooled)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until white and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and chocolate, stirring constantly.
