- 1 cup onion (yellow or white, chopped)
- 1 cup celery (chopped)
- 5 cloves garlic
- 3 cups asparagus (chopped into large pieces, thirds or fourths, plus more for roasting and topping on soup if desired)
- 1 tsp. tamari (or coconut aminos)
- 1/2 cup nondairy milk (almond, soy, oat, coconut)
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard (or spicy brown)
- 1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste)
- 1/8 tsp. pepper (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- 2 cups fresh peas (or frozen)
- 2 Tbsp. dill (sub basil if you don’t like dill, plus more for garnishing if desired)
