- 1 beef roast (around 2 lbs any type)
- 2 cans green chilis
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 2 Tbsp. garlic (less or more to taste)
- 1 1/2 cups enchilada sauce (see below)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 3 Tbsp. taco seasoning (get yourself some Totally Taco from faroutfoodz.com !!! amazing)
- grated cheddar cheese (to taste, I use lots!!!)
- 2 jalapenos (sliced, optional)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 cup chili powder
- 16 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup lard (or shortening + 2 tbsp)
- 1 cup hot water
