I sautéed the onions and garlic with 1 lb of ground beef then added the tomatoes. Seasoned with fresh basil and parsley, dried oregano and some Parmesan cheese. Also 2 teaspoons kosher salt, a bit of crushed red pepper and lots of black pepper. I let it cook down for a couple of hours and sit for a couple days in the fridge. Delicious!!

I made a huge batch of this with a craye of not perfect tomatoes from the market. The cook time was much longer to get a nice texture. I added tomatoe paste to thicken up the sauce a bit, otherwise folled recipe.

Delish and easy way to preserve my summer tomatoes. Froze in quart freezer bags. Used with pasta and meatballs on sauce prep day.

We like chunky pasta sauce at our house so I added sautéed onions, garlic, and about 6 chopped tomatoes. I also seasoned it with sweet basil. This is a great way to use up all of our garden tomatoes so that they don't go to waste!
