Excellent. I do season the meat and vegetables with salt and some garlic powder. I also cut back to about half a cup of peas as I found they added a sweetness to the final dish that I didn’t love and topped with freshly grated cheddar. Once I made it with these small changes, it really became a winner and a perfect chilly weather dinner.

This recipe has been adopted into our little rotation of go-to meals. I add a tsp of salt to the ground beef & veggie mixture. I’ve also had to substitute the parley with an Italian seasoning mix & it tastes great.
The kids eat it all up, so we keep making it. It’s belly-filling & comfort-filling!

It was great; very tasty but the 20 minute prep time is a joke. Maybe if everything is chopped and measured by someone else!

This turned out really good!! I used boxed mashed potatoes and frozen mixed veggies to save time. Used a combo of the 2 shepherds pie recipes I rated. Didnt have tomato paste so used ketchup instead. Still turned out awesome!! (Next time I’ll use less thyme..not my fav herb)

We used instant mashed potatoes and all frozen vegetables in order to speed up the process. If you do that it takes a third less time and is still just as delicious. A great meal for the whole family!

This was amazingly delicious. My husband said it was the best Sheppard’s pie I’ve ever made and we’ve been together for 14 years! Definitely a keeper 😉

This was very good, and a nice way to sneak in some veggies for the kids. My only recommendation would be to add a little spice, maybe some chili powder, just to give it a touch more spice. Overall, very good!

I went with two pounds of beef because that was what I had and adjusted some of the other ingredients to accommodate. I also made sure to whip the potatoes to make them extra fluffy on top.
Finished product was delicious

I made this twice before and my husband even my parents love this. It’s so delicious. Thank you!

Great. Hubby loves shepherds pie.
Replaced ketchup for tomato paste. Added thickening (3T flour + 1/4 c water mixed until no lumps). Added garlic cloves to potatoes.
Will make again.

Great recipe as-is. We added 1 can of corn to make it even better.
The recipe doesn’t make it clear but remember to cook the onions first, then the carrots, then the meat. And don’t cook the carrots for too long if you want to maintain that crunch, which compliments the softness of the rest of the meal
We added garlic cloves to the boiling potatoes and freshly shredded cheese when mashing them.

Delicious. I added garlic in the sauce. Like other commenters, I also added some shredded cheddar cheese (broiled for just a bit) and that really topped it off!

It was a bit bland when I followed the recipe so I added a bit more broth

Turned out great! Even my kids liked it. It’s a staple in our household. I add shredded cheese on top after baking. Broil for 1-2 min.

We love this recipe! I've made it several times. I always heavily flavor the mash with butter, milk, salt and pepper, and I always use Better Than Bouillon's beef base to make the broth.

Lacked flavour even though I modified the recipe by adding Rosemary, thyme and parsley. It was mediocre at best
