Even though it takes some time and effort to prepare, it’s a keeper! I did not reduce the gravy. It was very tasty comfort food.

We loved this and I’d make it again in a heartbeat. It took a long time to make so this is definitely a Sunday dish. The recipe was poorly written by the blogger so read through all of the instructions before beginning.

Good flavor. Good consistency. Made a lot. Will make again. Substituted Bob Evans Mash potatoes. Simplifies recipe.

This ended up being a great family pleaser. My kids love mashed potatoes so that caught their interest. The flavors made them ask for seconds! I used 3 cups of broth but next time will cut back even further to 2 cups. It was too soupy.

Delicious! Although it only lists butter once in the ingredients and uses it twice without mentioning amounts.. And yes, it, makes far too much gravy... I'll try just 3 cups of veg broth next time.

The recipe turned out really great! I don’t like peas so I substituted them with fresh green beans. I also added fresh corn off the cob. And I since I really love vegetables and don’t eat red meat I found no need to add the crumbles because I had no desire for a meat substitute.

very tasty. i did take out 1 cup of gravy and it came out perfect. husband went for seconds and packed a container for lunch. as much as this is delicious.. it did take forever to make so it will go on the back of my list of recipes

Don’t let the name fool you, you would never know there isn’t meat in this. Tons of flavor and super filling. Highly recommended.

It was delicious. Turned out exactly as it should have. Will definitely make this again

Although this took two hours, I take pride in that everything is handmade. It came out a bit soupy, but once I threw it in the oven and let it cool down, it came out like it’s supposed to be.

This was really delicious. Everyone enjoyed it. Next time I might try lentils instead of veggie crumbles.

Incredible. I bought a cast iron just to make this and it was well worth it 10/10

Omitted the celery, used only 1 cup of corn and 1 cup of peas, also used about a half a bottle of wine and added mushrooms and a mushroom/onion soup pack along with some fresh sage. This recipe seems pretty versatile but all in all absolutely delicious.

Great taste, was a bit watery but didn’t take away from the dish (just ate out of a bowl!). I used mince instead of the substitute.

It needed a little more flavor. Not sure what, maybe a red wine or more seasoning. But we ate it. And will finish it.

My meat loving husband and son both loved it! Vegetables for the win with this recipe!

Just ok. Mushy & I held back on the gravy. Husband liked it, but just enough for me to not make it again. A lot of work for "ok"
