Skip the takeout in favor of this easy and healthy sheet pan sesame chicken dinner, made in less time than it takes to pick up an order! The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.


  • 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets (roughly 1 inch florets, 3 cups is about 12 oz.)
  • 1 Tbsp. toasted sesame oil (for chicken)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp. toasted sesame oil (for sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger root (grated)
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 1 scallion (finely chopped)

    This was delicious. Served with jasmine rice .Instructions were easy to follow. Loved the step by step plus video guiding you along with timer. Kinda wish all recipes on here were like that.. Enjoyed fact that after long day at work this was not to draining to make. Will definitely continue to make.

    So good! I followed the other reviews and doubled the sauce. Family ate every bite, even the picky one! Served it with some jasmine rice.

    Really good flavor. i would drain the water and little bit of grease off the pan before drizzling the sauce. dont be afraid to cook the sauce a little longer either. I will do that next time.

    I didnt use the sheet pan method, instead I used a wok and served it over rice. It was delicious 😊

    This was great- easy, quick and family liked it. Added extra broccoli, extra sauce and some rice for more complete meal for four. Will keep in rotation!

    I loved the flavour of this recipe it was just divine. I made it with toasted sesame seeds and it was amazing. I would make this again. Just might double the sauce recipe as there wasn't that much sauce

    Really easy to make came out delicious. Downside is that it's not completely filling - does require some side dish.
