It tasted like cornstarch and oil. I’d make significant modifications if I were to try this again.

It turned out really good. It had a mild taste and was filling yet not at all heavy. Just I decided to make it last minute so dinner came out an hour late. And I agree that the sauce was a bit thick so I would maybe try adding less cornstach next time.

One of the most delicious vegetarian dishes - worth the effort to fry each side of the tofu squares!

Sauce was gelatinous. I thinned it out with extra stock and it was okay until i tried to have it as leftovers and the sauce was just a mess from start to finish :(

Made this last night. The sauce was flavorful. I need to work on how to make the tofu. It took a really long time to get golden.
EDIT: Next time Im just going to bake the tofu. The frying is way too hit or miss for me.

Delish! The sauce is really yummy and the tofu turned out nicely crisped. Would definitely make this again.

tofu takes way too long to cook; but the taste was really good. I made also a variant, broiling the tofu on a electric oven, but it still required to be cook in the skillet.
