- 1 Tbsp. peanut oil
- 2 Tbsp. peeled fresh ginger (minced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 3 Tbsp. sesame oil (Asian)
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 5 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. hot chili oil (or more, we used Mongolian fire oil… not sure if that’s what the recipe was calling for or not.)
- 5 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. Chinese egg noodles (fresh, about 1/16 inch in diameter or fresh angel hair pasta)
- 12 green onions (white and pale green parts only, thinly sliced)
- 1/2 cup roasted peanuts (coarsely chopped)
- 1/4 cup thai basil leaves (thinly sliced fresh, or regular basil will work just fine)
