There are hundreds of ways to make a trail mix, but this 15-minute recipe is sure to be loved by everyone and is full of fiber, protein, and healthy dried fruits. Bring out the earthy flavors of the nuts by roasting them prior to mixing them in with the dried fruit. No additional salt is needed to season this snack; simply separate your portions and be on your way.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams almonds (unsalted)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 100 grams walnuts
  • 100 grams pecan nuts
  • 50 grams hazelnuts
  • 50 grams cashew nuts
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
  • 12 apricots halved (dried)
  • 1 tablespoon dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon raisins

    Directions

    1. In a pan toast the almonds over medium heat and stir for 3/4 minutes.
    2. Add soy sauce and stir until it evaporates. Stir well so that the sauce coats the almonds.
    3. Remove the almonds from the pan and add walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, cashews, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds. Mix well for 2/3 minutes.
