4 SERVINGS
- 1 lb. butter (as in a whole box, 4 sticks real, softened)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 4 cups flour
- 14 oz. caramel (ice cream, such as Hershey's - make sure it's thick "real" caramel and not the stuff that you squirt on your ice cream)
- 1 Tbsp. coarse sea salt (you can reduce this if you don't love bursts of salty flavor)

Deeeeelicious😁 I finally got brave enough to make these after eyeing this recipe for a long time, too scared to make something with that much butter in it 😝. I had a party to take a dessert to so figured I could unload most of them on other people so I wouldn't get in trouble eating them all myself. I bought the caramel ice cream topping called for, and also a bag of loose unwrapped caramels just in case. The ice cream topping was not as thick as I expected, and also was waaay sweet, so I decided to use the caramels. I just melted them with 2 tablespoons of milk and they worked perfectly! These are the perfect combo of crumbly/chewy/salty/sweet. Love 'em!
