- 3 oz. bittersweet chocolate
- 1/3 cup natural cocoa powder (not dutch processed)
- 3/4 cup hot coffee
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 6 Tbsp. vegetable oil (or peanut oil for a nuttier flavour)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. milk chocolate chips (or nutella works, too for each cupcake)
- buttercream (Sea salt)
- 230 grams unsalted butter (soften)
- 5/8 tsp. fine sea salt
- 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 4 Tbsp. heavy cream (or whole milk)
