Easy fast tasty..I am sure rice vinegar is optimal, but apple cider worked just fine for us. the sauce is thin. I think it is supposed to be that way. We just repeatedly dunked the grilled chicken in the sauce and then back on the grill for short time. until it has a nice coat. There is plenty of sauce to do so. It doesn't take long.

I can’t wait to make this again. It really didn’t have an overly Asian flavor? I used powdered honey so I didn’t have any trouble w the sauce being too thin. Marinated them overnight. I could eat this every week.

Guess I didn't follow the recipe well enough. After grilling and basting the chicken, none of the sauce really stuck. Had to reduce the sauce in a pan and thicken it with corn starch slurry. Turned out great after that.
