I love this recipe. I do like to thicken the gravy with cornstarch when it is done. I have added sliced mushrooms and/or onions to the crockpot. It never fails to be delicious. Mashed potatoes or steamed little red potatoes are a great side with the gravy on them.

i loved this recipe. it was juicier than any roast i've ever had. Like everyone else, i used the entire packets of seasoning instead of half. I also sliced up 2 yellow onions and threw them in the crockpot. In the end, the gravy was delicious but very watery, but the onions were so very flavorful and were the perfect topping for the meat and the homemade mashed potatoes. I also added a side salad. my fiance' loved this meal. i will never cook pot roast any other way again.

it was tasty and certainly easy to do. The package of brown gravy I used was a larger package, so we had plenty of gravy to spare! I also added potatoes and veggies in with the roast, so it was a meal in itself. My roast was a little tough, but next time I will try a different cut. I fed a family of four and everyone was happy with it. It's so nice to walk into the house and smell the aroma of dinner, without having to put much effort into it! I will make this again😋

Sooooo delicious. Definitely take the advice of another reviewer and double the water and packets for extra gravy. I also threw in one package baby carrots an hour before it finished cooking and served alongside mashed potatoes.

It has great flavor. I put all the ingredients into the crock the night before and I should have waited until the morning of to add the water. My gravey was a bit lumpy, but ither than that it was great.

Family loved it - super easy, tasted great - will be making this again with larger roast so there are plenty of leftovers

This was a good roast! I added more seasoning ( full packet of Italian/ranch, added a second packet of brown gravy, and beef bouillon to taste) and water to get more gravy. I also added cornstarch towards the end for thickening. I included potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery.

Its was so good, my wife didn't believe how easy it was for me to make. Exceptionally tender with an awesome gravy for mash. My wife and daughter requested this meal more than once.
