Loved it! Added a can of beef consomme instead of the beer. Added fresh mushrooms and used some browning sauce in the gravy. Next time maybe I'll swap out the peas for green beans. Amazing. 👌

I made this as written, sampling it before serving. It was too spicy for our family so I added a bit more sugar and some red wine. We all liked it very much. Next time and there definitly will be a next time, I will have the cayenne pepper.

This is hands down the best stew recipe I have ever had. Especially it doesn’t use red wine which always has an extremely strong taste.

My first attempt at beef stew & am absolutely pleased with the ease of making it & the taste & texture of the sauce. I couldn’t find the suggested cut of beef so had to go with angus rump steak which cooked faster & was absolutely yums.

Added edamame beans vs English peas, shallots vs onion, smoked paprika, rosemary and okra as my touch #crowdpleaser

This is very good and one of better ones that I have tried. This is now the go to stew recipe.

The perfect stew. You will not find a better tasting one anywhere. The only fault I could find is that it never makes enough!
