Easy prep the night before. Just pop it in the oven the next morning. Or make it all the same morning.
I've tried other breakfast casseroles. They called for biscuits and they'd come out dry. The cream cheese and cream add to the flavor and make it more dense, rich and moist. Keeping the dough on the bottom (instead of tossed
with the egg mix) is one key to it being moist I think.
My son doesn't like eggs but he loves this.
