- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (very soft, 1½ sticks)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/8 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- peanut butter (Filling)
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- caramel (Layer)
- 1 cup caramel sauce (salted, cooled but still pourable or your favorite jarred salted caramel sauce)
- chocolate (Layer)
- 1 3/4 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable shortening (this keeps the chocolate from cracking when you slice it)
- salt (Maldon, or other flaky sea salt for sprinkling on top)
