- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour (all-purpose)

- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter (cut into small pieces, chilled or frozen)
- 6 Tbsp. ice cold water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 3 1/2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1/4 tsp. sea salt (or kosher salt)
