The taste is excellent. My problem was that some of them didn’t keep together. I think that’s on my end because I either didn’t mold them enough or I didn’t flake the salmon in small enough pieces. Nevertheless was hard to stop eating them. Although frozen salmon is not totally fresh (I thawed frozen wild filets and baked them per the recipe), they totally worked. I don’t think canned salmon would have turned out so well. I did the homemade tartar sauce in the recipe, loved it!

This recipe is awesome, everyone loved them! I am usually just ok with salmon patties/cakes. I can take or leave them, but I actually enjoyed these so much I will put them in regular rotation for dinners! I added a dill sauce for that finishing touch that put them over the top.
