- 4 medium carrots (peeled, halved and or quartered lengthwise depending on thickness of carrot. Thinner gets halved, thicker gets quartered)

- 4 1/2 cups vegetable broth (or more, equal to a 32 ounce container)
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 Tbsp. cumin
- 1/2 Tbsp. oregano
- 15 oz. navy beans (drained and rinsed)

- fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)
