The cake was deliciously moist and light though it had a slightly dense texture. However, I rated it a 4 rather than 5 because there was no taste of rum despite percisely following the directions. Next time, I’ll add more rum to the batter and sauce mixture.

Search no more! This recipe has it all. This cake bakes so deliciously moist and the sauce omg... Sooo good! I didn't have buttermilk at hand and so I used 1/2 cup of whole milk and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice. Made it for St. Patty's day to share with family and it was quickly gone. Will be baking this boozie cake again today. Oh and also my husband and I had a piece of it at breakfast; it's 5 o'clock somewhere right?! lol.

Amazing! I didn’t have buttermilk so used sour cream instead. Without a doubt the best rum cake I have ever made!

OMG!!!! I’m so glad I gave half of this as a present otherwise I might eat the whole thing. Moist and delicious. And the rum butter sauce I might dream about later. So glad I made this for New Years Eve.

This recipe was delicious! It came out very tastey and the strong rum taste was balanced by the sugar coating when flouring the pan.

The butter run sauce was a little crunch but I think I didn’t put enough butter so the sugar crystalized
