- 3 eggs (room temperature)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup raisins (a combination of dark and golden yields a nice color and taste contrast.)
- 1/3 cup orange juice (or apple juice)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. canela
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 cups apples (chopped )
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 Tbsp. confectioners sugar (Optional – if you like a dusting on top)

It turned out great! Everybody loved it so much, especially my two little grandsons! Followed recipe almost completely, except swapped nuts for one more cup of apples because of nut allergy in family.
Thank you for sharing recipe! This is a keeper for sure!
