- 2 cups root beer (do not use diet root beer)
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (dark)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cut into 1″ pieces)
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar (firmly packed)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 oz. dark chocolate (60% cacao, melted and cooled slightly)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tsp. salt (I used sea salt.)
- 1/4 cup root beer
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (dark)
- 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- sea salt (to sprinkle over top of fudge frosting)
