They were delicious. I roasted them 10 minutes longer then suggested to brown them a bit more

I should have remembered to turn the leeks during cooking as recommended. Following the recipe, I found the outer layers were beautifully Carmelized and flavorful, but the inner layers weren't. They were also hard to cut and stringy to eat.
