These were great - I like the contrasting textures. The balsamic really only comes through from the mushrooms since they soak it all in, so if you omit the mushrooms, you may need an extra balsamic drizzle at the end. I didn't add any parmesan at the end, and it didn't need it, but I bet it would have been a nice extra pop of sharpness to go with the savory.

Very good! Whole family enjoyed and asked for it again. I added onions as well. Will try shallots next time. Highly recommend.
