- 2 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 1 inch fresh ginger (piece, chopped)

- 1 1/2 cups vegetable stock (I used no salt added stock)
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 tsp. salt (if you use stock with added salt, decrease the amount of salt)
- 2 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
- 1/2 lemon
