- 8 onions (– 10 pearl or boiler)
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 pt. mozzarella (pearl, drained of brine)
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar (approximately)
- 1/3 cup olive oil (approximately)
- freshly ground pepper
- salt (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp. stone ground mustard (if desired, optional)
