- 6.75 oz. pasilla chiles (total, stemmed and seeded)
- 2 garlic cloves (unpeeled)
- 1 tomato (or substitute canned tomatoes, drained)
- 1 white onion (sliced 1/8 thick)
- 6 cups broth (good, preferably chicken)
- 1/2 tsp. broth (depending on saltiness of)
- 2 cups chihuahua cheese (or other melting cheese such as brick or Monterey Jack)
- 1 lime (cut into 6 wedges)
- 4 cups red chard (loosely packed, thinly sliced, preferably, leaves, you’ll need about 2/3 of a 12-ounce bunch)
