- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. orange zest
- 1/2 cup almond meal ( Bob’s Red Mill, /flour)
- 2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
- 1 pinch kosher salt
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract (pure, optional, but recommended)
- 1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 lb. rhubarb stalks (sliced into 1/2-inch-thick pieces, green leaves discarded)
- 12.5 grams granulated sugar
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1 tsp. water
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds
