This recipe was so good, and made enough for a couple meals. I highly recommend it.

i didn't make the full recipe, i made the masa and incorporated a suggestion from one of the reviews *adding a little chili sauce to masa). i used my own fillings (cheese and chili, shredded pork, and a bean dip) the tamales are flaverful from the masa to the filling. i also cooked mine in the instapot with a 20 minute cook time.

The filling left a lot to be desired, but the masa itself was quite good. I will probably continue to use the masa recipe and swap out other fillings.

Really great! Notes to self: 8 cups flour, 1# lard, 3tsp salt/baking powder, 1-2 c broth, 1/2 Venison roast, 1 can blended chipotle, 1/3 package husks. Made 30.
