- 1 cup coconut milk (I used fresh coconut milk that a co-worker picked up from a local juice bar but you can use store-bought sugar free coconut milk)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 dates (pitted, can add more if you prefer a sweeter taste)
- 1 tsp. sea salt (Himalayan)
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- canela (to sprinkle on top)
- cinnamon stick (for garnish, optional)
- ice (as needed)
- 4 oz. dark rum (optional)
