I made two different granola recipes while making dinner. my boys rated these 4/5 stars. The 2 things I did differently were my one son insisted I add oats ( and that addition was great). the other was I mixed in choc chips not melted and put on top like picture. turned out nice. wondering about ingredient amount changes though? They were pretty soft due to dates..maybe decrease dates increase grains. was a win if my 8 and 10 yr old approve. Thanks.

The first time I made this, I had issues rehydrating some older dates & ended up making a delicious spread. I didn't care for the crunchiness of the chopped almonds, though, so when I made the recipe a second time (with just-purchased dates), I used a scant 2/3 cup of freshly ground almond butter in place of both of the almonds and the peanut butter. The mixture handled well and made 28 bite-sized balls.
