Unclear instructions and a distracting crying baby led to a burnt pan. At what heat level should the stove be turned on? (Apparently not medium.) About how long does it take? (Apparently less than 8 minutes.) Just saying “until fruit is softened” when the pan is covered is not sufficient. Also, are the two dates supposed to be chopped? The end result was edible, but I would not make it again.
