- 1 1/2 cups spelt flour (Gluten free flour works in this recipe, if you need it to be gluten free. When I have made this with GF flour, it has been a bit more moist, and not risen quite as high. All purpose flour would work as well.)
- 3/4 cup organic cane sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. canela
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 pinch cloves
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup canola oil (organic)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 Tbsp. buttery spread (vegan)
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. unsweetened coconut milk
- 1/2 tsp. canela
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1 pinch cloves
