This recipe turned out terrible. After I baked the pie for the specified period, the filling was still totally soup. I kept putting the pie back in the oven for ten-minute intervals until the crust started to burn. I suspect the problem might have been because the recipe just specified “pumpkin” instead of pumpkin pie filling—the organic canned pumpkin I used (bought the same day and well within its freshness period) was runny.
