    Very good. Frosting is superb.

    I had high hopes. The cake was very dense and did not rise as pictured- should I be surprised with no baking powder? I noticed while making the batter that it seemed unusually oily after adding the pumpkin and vegetable oil, and very thin after the milk. I baked for 36 minutes. The frosting is very decadent and a serious commitment of time. Overall, the flavor is there but the total finished product was not the same as pictured.
