- 2 tsp. spice mix (pumpkin pie, or store-bought such as McCormick’s)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup organic sugar (or regular cane sugar)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (100% natural, such as Musselman’s)
- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt (mixed well with 1 tablespoon water, or ½ cup buttermilk)
- 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (unsweetened, not pumpkin pie filling)
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (melted, I like Ghirardelli’s Bittersweet Baking Chips)
- 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup half-and-half (can also use heavy whipping cream-see MPM Mini-Bites)
