- 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp. channa dal
- 12 curry leaves
- 1/8 tsp. asafoetida
- 1/4 tsp. fenugreek (roasted, powder)
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
- 1 Tbsp. sesame (/ coconut / avocado oil or ghee)
- 1 chillies (slit green chilly or chopped seranno, as per spice levels)
- 1 Tbsp. coriander seeds
- 3/4 Tbsp. chana dal (kadala paruppu)
- 3 red chillies (dried)
- 1/2 tsp. fenugreek seeds
- 5 curry leaves
