- red beans
- pork fat (cubed)
- ham steak (cubed)
- 2 cups long grain rice (or medium, I used Goya brand medium grain rice)
- 15.5 oz. pink beans (or of red, I use Goya)
- 3 Tbsp. sofrito
- 1 oz. pork fat (cut into small cubes)
- 2 oz. ham steak (cut into small cubes)
- 1 packet sazon (with Culantro and Achoite found in the Latin section of most supermarkets)
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 8 olives (green pimiento, optional)
- chopped cilantro (handful of fresh)
- 3 sprigs culantro (chopped fresh, optional but flavors rice deliciously if you can find in your area)
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
