- 1 tsp. Garam Masala
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 inches cinnamon (piece of)
- 3 green cardamom pods
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. fennel seeds (ground)
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. black salt (available at Indian grocery stores)
- 1 cup peas (added at the end)
