It was alright. Back in Dec. I followed and made an Au Gratin Potatoe recipe but without ground beef. That was a sellout with my family. That was so much better. That recipe also included sour cream. Next time I make this again, I’ll use that recipe and include ground beef

Pretty yummy! I added Momofuku Tingly seasoning to the meat gave it a great flavor. I added a bit more cheese also. The bake time was too long because I was very hungry but I made it through as my kitchen was filled with a lovely potatoe and cheese aroma! Easy to prepare. Very easy to eat!

Really nice I put a little beef stock in the mince as well as the previously recommended extras and it was lovely

With a bit of tweaking, this could be awesome. I did most everything according to the directions but instead of 3 cups of milk I used 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of water (we have a wee one so milk is a precious resource). I also used one large onion and one small since we’re fans of onions. I did add oragano, onion powder and garlic powder to both layers of potatoes. What we (after discussion with the fiancé) would change next time:
1. An extra cup of cheese in the cheese sauce.
2. Adding salt and pepper to the top of both layers of potatoes in addition to the oregano (this was a huge flavor boost that I wasn’t expecting).
3. Using half the cheese sauce on the bottom layer of potatoes instead of just the top.
Overall, it’s still good but these few changes might make it excellent.

Came out a bit salty and would probably put more than a pound of ground beef with this. Otherwise it was good!

Delicious! I added onion, garlic, and some oregano to the beef to add flavor as per the other reviews. Family loved it

It was MARVELOUS!! I took the advice of another person who left a review about this dish. I added Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder to the meat. I also added a little salt and pepper to the cheese sauce.

Comfort food at its finest! Very cheesy and delicious!! I added one teaspoon of garlic powder and one capful of Worcestershire sauce to the ground beef while I was browning it.

It turned out well. could use a little more time in oven for potatoes. Also could use more seasoning. but over all a good meal.

I made this tonight with a few changes:
First layer, potatoes which I salted and peppered. Second layer, ground beef. Third layer, thin slices of Monterey Jack (my family loves cheese!). Fourth layer, half of the cheese sauce. Fifth layer, potatoes again.. Sixth layer, the rest of the cheese sauce. I didn't top with grated cheese because I personally don't like crispy cheese. Turned out really yummy. Great comfort food!

Amazing! I don’t have any complaints for this recipe at all! This was a hit in my family.

Very bland...to much spice in the sauce. I wouldn’t recommend this recipe. I threw it in the garbage.

Tasted good but it was missing some seasoning, will try around more next time.
