  • 3 1/2 pounds boneless pot roast
  • 10 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°.
    2. Arrange roast on large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil placed in pie plate or shallow baking dish. Mix soups, then pour over roast. Wrap foil loosely around roast, sealing edges airtight with double fold. Bake 2-1/2 hours or until tender.

    I used to make this all the time, taught by my mother. Haven't done it in awhile so I needed to refresh my memory. This is a great weekend dinner, allowing for leftovers. I use carrots, celery and potatoes also. Just for color, I also brown on top of the stove before baking, using salt, pepper, tenderizer and paprika for color.
