- 10 cups water (add enough to cover the smoked ham hocks)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 4 stalks celery (inner stalks work fine)
- 1/4 tsp. pepper corns
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 1 onions (Medium sliced)
- 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes
- 8 oz. tomato sauce (cans)
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- 2 tsp. beef bouillon (granulated)
- 1 1/2 cups carrots (chopped, 1/2 inch cut)
- 4 cups red potatoes (cut Klondike, 1 - 11/2 inch cubes)
- 1 lb. linguica (mild, use hot for a spicy soup)
- 15 oz. kidney beans (can S&W)
- 15 oz. white beans (can S&W)
- 1/2 head cabbage (thick chopped)
- 1 tsp. salt (/pepper to taste)
- 3 cups macaroni
