My son loved it . Said it was better that store bought. first time making this. I didnt use the onions but some onion powder i added bacon. when i fried in butter I also added onion powder on the outside of the dough. I am doing keto so have no clue what they tasted like however my son is a harsh judge on food!

Pretty tasty! I took liberties with it, since what I was really looking for was something that would help use up extra stuff I had. No garlic, but grated cheese. I had some store-bought pie crust so I used that. My purple onion was quite aged, but worked fine. And I made too much of the filling, but you know what? Warmed up in the microwave it was a dead ringer for a North Dakota hot dish! Very satisfactory!
