- 1 pinch salt
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 baking soda (level tsp)
- 3 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice (/ vinegar)
- 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk (+ ½-¾ cup water)
- 1 canela (level tbsp)
- 1 Tbsp. oil (for frying, I used sunflower oil)
- 5 plums (fresh, quartered)
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup (or sugar)
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon bark
- 2 cloves
- nutmeg (grate of)
- 1/2 vanilla pod (seeds scraped)
- 1 whole allspice
