The recipe does not indicate the skillet size. With a 20 oz sliced pineapple can I assumed 12 inch cast iron skillet but the cake came out really thin, not sure if that is how it should look. The flavor is really good so next time I will use my 8 inch and use 8 oz pineapple rings or I will just double the batter

Excellent! Put too much almond extract lol but it came out fantastic. Could be a little more moist but will definitely make again!

Texture is closer to an angel food cake than a regular upside down cake. But it was very tasty 😁

This cake is amazing. I like how it sops up all the brown sugar and butter and at the same time it’s a light cake. Easy to make.. didn’t have almond extract or cherries and still great!

Wow!!! Easy to do and very good used vanilla extract instead didn't have almond extract...............
