I followed the directions exactly and it was delicious the texture is a little too thick for my liking so no five star. But it tastes great and I will make it again. Don’t substitute if you don’t have things. Just follow the recipe exactly; it’s worth it.

i absolutely love this smoothie but it is really astringent and more complex than my boyfriend likes. (he likes smoothies that taste like milkshakes.) The celery and pineapple together are woody and aromatic. i avoid adding sugar because i love the flavors unmasked by sugar. if you can dig herbaceous, tangy stuff, this is for you!

Blech! I had to force myself to swallow just 65% of this smoothie. To be fair the changes I made: replaced pear with red seedless grapes, and honey with maple syrup. The texture wasn't good, and it wasn't cold. I froze half the fruit for one tomorrow, and maybe it'd be better, but I'm really wondering what to do with the fruit now. I can't have stone fruits (thus no pear) and celery's an aphrodisiac so I thought it'd be a good green to add. The picture is pretty, but I'd overall rate this recipe as inedible.
