My daughter and I followed the recipe exactly as printed and were blown away by the results. One thing I would edit the recipe to say is to make sure the balls of dough are very small (half the size of a standard marble) before frying. If you let the dough rest as required, you will get perfect puffed balls of yum! Don’t skip the orange zest for the syrup! The zippy citrus helps to cut through the sweet to make these seriously addicting!
