We love these things! We are on a Keto diet, and it is a really satisfying dinner. I add some dried thyme and minced garlic to the onions and peppers after they have been cooking for a few minutes. No need to cook the steak first, just slice it beforehand and add it to the onions and peppers after they are tender.

I made some substitutions, but they were great. I had roast beef in the fridge, so I used that instead of the steak, and eliminated the sour cream (personal dislike). I filled half of it into 3 portabella mushroom caps and then divided the remainder into 2 piles on the parchment paper for my hubby (he hates mushrooms and put his "piles" on rolls). We both loved how they turned out!
