These were really good! Instead of 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour, I used 1 cup regular flour and 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour. I baked for 8 minutes... they still got pretty dark but YUMMY!

they are alright, will defiantly have to keep hunting for a better recipe. I think it was the whole wheat flour that I didn't particularly care for. I doubled the chocolate chip amount as well
